Saratoga Chic / Garden Formal

Suit Inspiration

Summer elegance, a little personality, and plenty of room to celebrate. Here’s what our wedding dress code means.

Classic Navy

A timeless suit and tie—simple, polished, and ready for the evening.

Summer Neutrals

A light suit with a tie and dress shoes brings an easy summer feel.

The Easy Formula

A lightweight suit, dress shirt, tie, and polished dress shoes. Navy, gray, or a summer neutral all fit the mood. A tuxedo is not required.

Keep Cool, Look Sharp

Choose a breathable summer-weight fabric. Linen or a linen blend is welcome when styled as a complete, dressed-up outfit.

Finish The Look

Loafers or lace-up dress shoes work beautifully. A pocket square is optional; your tie can be solid, textured, or subtly patterned.

Make It Your Own

You do not need to match the wedding colors or the suits pictured here. Wear a color and fit that make you feel great.

The Quick Answers

No Guesswork Required

How Formal Is Formal?

Think dressed-up summer wedding, not casual garden party. A suit and tie or an elegant dress or jumpsuit is the sweet spot. Black tie is not required.

Do I Need To Buy Something New?

Absolutely not. An outfit you already love is perfect if it fits the dress code. These photos are inspiration, not a shopping list.

What Should I Skip?

Please save jeans, shorts, casual polos, and everyday sneakers for another part of the weekend.

Is This For The Whole Weekend?

This guide is for our Saturday wedding. Sunday’s day at the races is a separate outing; check our Weekend page for those gathering details.
